Foundational Seminar On Basic Mindfulness
Dan Towery, LPC presents a Foundational Seminar on Basic Mindfulness. Seminars are held at local hotels/ conference centers. The purpose of the Foundational Seminar on Basic Mindfulness Training is to familiarize individuals with mindfulness practice and how it can help address specific problems. Mindfulness has been clinically demonstrated to benefit adults and teens who struggle with anxiety, depression, stress, anger, trauma, eating disorders and a host of other psychological, emotional, behavioral and relational problems. It will include a Power Point, video clips, handouts and mindfulness practice in a very interactive three hour session with breaks and refreshments.
A Psychoeducational Group on Intermediate Mindfulness
The group will facilitate individuals advancing themselves toward Intermediate Mindfulness practice and requires previous participation in a Foundational Seminar on Basic Mindfulness presented by Dan Towery, LPC, CSOTP. The group will meet on Weeknight evenings for 45 minutes. Groups generally are held between Foundational Seminars. Included in the Group will be a field trip to do a mindful walk on the W & OD Bike Trail in Leesburg on a Saturday morning. Group meetings will be held at the Riverside Counseling Center, 44094 Riverside Parkway Ste 240 Leesburg VA 20176.
