Deegan attended James Madison University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies in 2020. In 2023, Deegan graduated from Liberty University Online with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a 4.0 GPA. Deegan is actively pursuing a professional counseling license (LPC) in the
Commonwealth of Virginia. During her residency at Riverside, she is under the supervision of Kristi Gibney, MA, LPC and Bernadette Landry, MA, LPC.
Deegan sees teens and adults ages 13 and up. She has experience working with a variety of individuals from the private practice where she fulfilled her practicum and internship hours. Deegan has assisted adolescents, adults, and families with various presenting issues including trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, life transitions, self-esteem issues, and eating disorders.
Deegan is trained in EMDR. EMDR stands for
Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing, which is an evidence-based treatment to help clients reduce the emotional and physical reactions from disturbing events in life. When spiritual beliefs are requested to be involved during sessions, Deegan is passionate about helping others find healing in Christ. The individuals and families that have worked with Deegan over the past year have been highly impressed by her mature counseling skills, compassion, and comfort she provides through her counseling treatment.
