Provider Spotlight

Christopher Wheatley, PMHNP-BC is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner specializing in services for children, adolescents and adults. He discovered his passion for helping those with psychiatric conditions while working at the Northern Virginia Mental Health Institute in 2009. Since then, he has worked in a variety of mental health settings and has taught at Georgetown University. Most recently, he has focused his practice on the care of pediatric patients, and believes strongly that the foundation of good care is based in the relationship between the patient and healthcare provider. He utilizes a multifaceted approach to treatment, including counseling and medication management, to promote an optimal outcome for each patient.

Christopher was raised in Northern Virginia. He completed his undergraduate studies at Old Dominion University and graduate studies at the University of Virginia. He enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, and is an amateur photographer.
