Dr. Scott Stapley is a clinical psychologist who provides individual counseling in a warm and calm manner. He works with children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Stapley is currently completing his Psychologist in Residency with Riverside under the supervision of Juliet Cameron, PsyD.
Dr. Stapley is graduate of the College of Health Sciences at Midwestern University. He completed his pre-doctoral internship at WellSpan Philhaven in York, PA where he provided psychological assessment, outpatient counseling services, and behavioral health consulting. He has earned two Masters Degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Clinical Psychology.
He has over five years of experience in helping individuals manage a variety of stress and life-adjustment issues. He uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Adlerian therapy, play therapy, and behavior modification therapy to help clients find relief from anxiety and depression. Dr. Stapley uses a holistic approach to counseling, including working toward an improved emotional and relationship balance. He includes the integration of faith topics in the therapeutic process for those who are interested.
Dr. Stapley has worked extensively with children with autism and their families using both counseling and behavior modification approaches. His internships and advanced practicum experiences have provided him with opportunities to support individuals and families in Phoenix, AZ at Southwest Behavioral and Health Services. Other experiences include diagnosis and counseling treatment of ADHD and assessments of need for psychoeducational support.
