Christine graduated with high honors from Dallas Theological Seminary with a Master’s degree in Counseling. She also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Mary Washington University.
Christine believes healing is a process that happens in the context of relationship and, despite the deep struggles that life presents, there is always hope. She considers it a privilege to come alongside clients who are struggling with a variety of issues including: self-harm, anxiety, depression, and a range of childhood behavioral issues. Christine is an integrationist counselor that combines techniques from cognitive behavior therapy, dialectic behavioral therapy and expressive/play therapy. She has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families.
She is a certified RelateStrong facilitator and has received training in both play therapy and trauma. Christine is actively pursuing a professional counseling license (LPC) in the commonwealth of Virginia. During her residency at Riverside, she is under the supervision of Dan Towery, LPC. As a resident counselor, her appointments are not reimbursable by medical insurance but she does offers counseling service at a reduced fee.
Christine sees children and adults ages 4 – 40. She offers the option of telehealth or in-person sessions and is currently accepting new clients.
