Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Angela Amas, PMHNP is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with six year of experience in professional mental health care. She received her PMHNP degree from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville. She earned Bachelor’s Degrees from Marymount University (biology and psychology) and Villanova University (nursing).
At the Virginia Hospital Center (VHC), Angela served as charge nurse on the Behavioral Health and Recovery, and Wellness Units. In these positions, she provided direct patient care to women and men recovering from acute and chronic psychiatric illnesses. While at the VHC, Angela received numerous patient recognition awards for excellence in patient care.
At Riverside, Angela works as a nurse practitioner in collaboration with Donald Hall, MD. She offers diagnosis and medication treatment for anxiety, mood and thought disorders. Angela cares for adults and adolescents over age 15. Weekend appointments may be available.
Most recently, Angela has been working as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner for the Community Services Board in Fairfax, Virginia. Here she performs psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and medication management for mood, anxiety, and psychotic disorders.
At Riverside, Angela sees children and adults with anxiety and mood disorders – ages sixteen and above. Weekend appointments are available.
